Mind you, I work out 5-6 times a week, but have used other gym locations or the outdoors to do so. Today I decided it is time to finally check out this 24 Hour Fitness location. I arrived shortly before 6 AM and was kind of surprised about the fairly large number of cars in the parking lot. I went inside and made myself familiar with the setup of this gym. I would consider this gym to be on the smaller side compared to others, but that is not necessarily a bad thing.

Even though there were quite a few cars parked outside, it did not look that crowded inside. On the main floor you can find mostly cardio equipment and a small pool area. There is also a small fitness shop on the left when you walk into this 24 Hour Fitness. The upstairs area has the weights and machines as well as a functional workout area. There is also some cardio equipment upstairs, but the majority of those is downstairs on the main floor.

I decided to kick off my workout with a 5K run on the treadmill. I randomly picked a treadmill and really liked it. It made a well maintained impression. Some treadmills in other clubs are totally used up, but this one definitely had some mileage left on it. It even came with a negative incline which is great because now you can really simulate an outside run in a hilly area like Highlands Ranch. The cardio area is a little tight and small. You pretty much exercise in front of a mirror while the large window to the right has a great view out onto the highway (C-470) and south Littleton. It would be much more entertaining to be facing that direction. Anyway, the treadmill worked great and the run felt easy and good.

After the run I went upstairs and rotated several reps through different machines. Most of the equipment was in good condition. Still, I am often surprised that some people really don’t care and treat the equipment badly. What point does it make to destroy fitness equipment?! I don’t get it. Just paying a little attention here and there and not treating the equipment would go a long way + it will help to keep the monthly rates down, too.

The Highlands Ranch 24 Hour Fitness at Broadway and C-470 is definitely not a bad gym to go. It made a clean impression to me and the (few) staff members that I saw were very friendly. The upstairs fitness area with machines and weights is properly sized and it was not crowded. The cardio area downtstairs (or main floor) offers a good selection of treadmills, Ellipticals, and other equipment. I had actually expected more people between 6 and 7 AM. I know that this place is more busy in the late afternoon and on Saturday mornings, so in that way I think if you can roll out of bed early, there is a good gym in your neighborhood. As a long-time resident to Highlands Ranch I also have access to the rec centers of the HRCA and some of their equipment is fairly outdated + the “free” rec centers are sometimes really crowded in the morning. For me the 24 Hour Fitness is a great alternative. It also comes in handy when you travel a bit or work in other parts of town. I currently work out 5-6 times per week and love to have options for my workouts.

If you are interested in joining the 24 Hour Fitness online here or just go and visit them. You can also buy a membership at Costco. If you work for a larger company, make sure to check out to see if you get discounted rates at 24 Hour Fitness. The 24 Hour Fitness website often features specials, too. Please note that I might earn a small commission if you join 24 Hour fitness through this link. 24 Hour Fitness does not pay me for posting this article. I am a paying customer and have come to enjoy the ability to work out in their different clubs and therefore think it is a great option for you, too.

Visit the club on <a
