I was studying my ballot for the 2007 election the other night. I saw a name on the ballot that I had seen on election related street signs before. Some additional research lead me to the homepage of Ryan Stuart who is one of the candidates for the Douglas County School Board in District A.

If you are a homeowner in Highlands Ranch you most likely received the tax valuation of your home. If you did, you most likely noticed a steep increase in the valuation of your house and therefore an increase in the estimated tax rate. Personally I do think this is not correct. Market values are stagnating and house sales prices are either flat or decreasing, but not increasing. High inventory of home builders, high number of foreclosures, and rising interest rates in 2006 are not really ingredients that make for rising home prices.
