Highlands Ranch Ace Hardware & Paint Holds July 4 Event To Honor Local Veterans, Former Employee Alex Eudy, former Highlands Ranch Ace Hardware & Paint employee and Purple Heart recipient to be special guest of honor.

Highlands Ranch Ace Hardware & Paint is holding a 4th of July event to honor those who have served in the United States military.
The event will include a bar-b-que and special in-store discounts for veterans. Employees, customers and Highlands Ranch residents will also honor local veterans and special guest Alex Eudy at the event. Eudy is a former Highlands Ranch Ace Hardware & Paint employee who had both legs severely broken while on a special operations patrol in Afghanistan. He received both the Purple Heart and Air Force Combat Action Medal, a medal given to Airmen who have been involved in direct fighting situations where they risked their lives in an enemy engagement.
The event includes the initiation of the new Highlands Ranch Ace Hardware & Paint employee of the month plaque in honor of Eudy. He will be the initial employee of the month recipient, for July 2009. During the event, all veterans will receive 20 percent off of purchases at the Highlands Ranch Ace Hardware & Paint store. Attendees can also purchase bar-b-que pork sandwiches and a soda for $1, with all proceeds going to the Highlands Ranch Veterans Monument in Civic Green Park.

Proceeds from food sales will go to the Highlands Ranch Veterans Monument in Civic Green Park, which is being dedicated on Wednesday, July 1 at 6:30 p.m. The Highlands Ranch Veterans Monument is designed as a place where members of the Highlands Ranch community can show their appreciation by recognizing those who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
