RESPONSIBILITIES:

* All aspects of Solaris and AIX Engineering work. This would
include: installing and updating the Operating System, installing
patches, packages, and documenting procedures, troubleshooting advanced
system issues. * Also, must provide detailed implementation planning
for all system builds. * Provide Technical Leadership for all UNIX
Engineering related System Audit tracking and Remediation deliverables.
* Provide strategic input for the Technical Direction of the GPS Unix
Engineering organization. * Design, architect, and plan the
implementation(s) of new system infrastructures. * Interfacing with
Vendors to stay abreast of new technology as well to insure that all
system designs are vendor supportable. * Liaison to Business Line
project teams for hardware/platform requirements definition. *
Provide marketing for all GPS Unix Engineering services. * Project
Management of Small to Medium size deployments. This includes utilizing
the Visa Project Management Methodology. * Write Technical design I
build documents for all aspects of the technical architecture. This
includes integrating content from other domain areas providing input to
the build.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Solaris Certification Solaris Engineering Knowledge * AIX
Certification, AIX Engineering Experience * 5+ years Solaris
and/or AIX Support Knowledge * 3 -5 Years Functional experience
with Logical and Dynamic Partitioning in AIX and Solaris platforms
* 3+ years Veritas Cluster & Foundation Suite Experience * Multi
Vendor cluster experience a plus * Multi Vendor San Experience (IBM
,EMC, Hitachi) * Strong UDB Database Experience SQL knowledge *
Proven strong communication skills (oral and written) * Advanced
diagnostic analysis experience such as reading dumps/traces *
Industry understanding of best practices related to Information
Security, SOX and ITIL

Nice to have: Linux; Experience with NIM/Jumpstart provisioning
technologies; Scripting abilities
