Happy 4th of July
July 4th is upon us and Highlands Ranch has a lot to offer this year. Here are some of the highlights for that special day. HRCA will kick off the celebrations at 9.00 AM with the Community Parade. The parade will start at the Shea Homes parking lot and go east on Highlands Ranch Parkway. It will then go right on Broadway, right on Burgundy to Green Ash and around Civic Green Park and back on Ridgeline toward Highlands Ranch Parkway and back to the Shea Homes parking lot.
At 10.30 AM the 11K run will start. The run will go along the scenic trail system of Highlands Ranch. The race will begin at Town Center's Home Depot parking lot. This should guarantee enough room for everyone to start. Proceeds benefit Special Olympics Colorado. The 11K run is part of the Highlands Ranch Run series.
At 11 AM the festivities in the Highlands Ranch Town Center will start. Enjoy this day with rides, games, live music by Deja Blu and Something Underground and much more. There should be something for everyone – even if it is just some good food. Special Event on this special day: From noon to 4 PM you can adopt a pet and find a new friend for life. What a great occasion to celebrate and do something good at the same time.
At 3 PM the pet/bike parade will start. Registration starts at 1.30 PM. The parade route takes participants from the Home Depot to Town Center! Please bring your pet and/or bike to the intersection of Mayberry and Hepburn.
Last, but not least enjoy a great fireworks show. What would the 4th be without a great fireworks presentation?! The display in Highlands Ranch will be just north of the town center (is it too early to call it “Downtown Highlands Ranch”?). To be more exact – the fireworks will be at or near the intersection of Ridgeline and Highlands Ranch Parkway.
