Event Schedule June 2008 for Highlands Ranch, Colorado

Memorial Day is officially behind us and summer (unofficially) is here. Yeah, I know the temperatures for the last 2 days feel more like early fall than summer, but that is just how Colorado weather works. Anyway, June is outdoor season and many events for outdoor fun are on the schedule, but of course there are indoor activities as well. Here are events for June 2008 in Highlands Ranch.

Farmer’s Market
Every Sunday is Farmer’s Market in the Highlands Ranch Town Center. Buy fresh produce from local businesses. Find some specialties you cannot buy at the local King Sooper’s or Safeway, too. Farmer’s Market is every Sunday from 10 AM until 2.00 PM at the Highlands Ranch Town Center (Town Center Square, 9288 Dorchester Street, Highlands Ranch, CO 80129).
Highlands Ranch Summer Concert Series
The Highlands Ranch Summer Concert Series is going to start this June and is scheduled to run every Thursday night until July 31. The concerts are going to be at the Highland Heritage Park (Highland Heritage Park, 9651 S. Quebec St., located behind the post office at the intersection of University & Quebec). Admission is free of charge. So, bring the entire family. Here is the event information for June 2008:

06/19 – The Fab 4!
06/26 – Hot Flash Band

Concert events start at 6.30 PM and are scheduled to end at 8 PM.
Highlands Ranch Carnival
The Highlands Ranch Carnival will be back this month (June). The HRCA advertises this as “A Real Carnival”. The Carnival run by the Bill Hames Shows is well respected throughout the state of Colorado. This carnival is also the official carnival for the Greely Stampede, the Cheyenne Frontier Days, and the Colorado State Fair (Pueblo).

Highlands Ranch Classic Car Show
The Classic Car Show is back this year. Great cars, motorcycles, food, music, and more are at this popular and free event. The Classic Car Show will be held on 6/14/2008 at the St. Andrew Methodist Church Parking Lot, 3350 White Bay Drive (University and Highlands Ranch Parkway). Event time is set from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Highlands Ranch “Murder Mystery Theatre”
Get the inner detective to show off. Solve a crime at the Highlands Ranch Mansion. Quote HRCA: The moment you enter through the Historic Highlands Ranch Mansion’s massive carved front door, you are transported to the scene of a crime. Enjoy appetizers and a cash bar while walking through the mansion’s rooms and talking with characters who will give hidden clues as to who could have committed the crime. Later join with other detectives in the ballroom and try to discover the culprit.
The event is located at the Highlands Ranch Mansion, 9900 Ranch Rd. and is scheduled for June 28 between 7 PM and 9 PM.
