Business Review: The Hilton Garden Inn Highlands Ranch
I am sitting at the desk in my room at the Hilton Garden Inn in Highlands Ranch writing this review. I live in Highlands Ranch, but my house is under construction (hardwood floor refinishing) and I have to stay out of the house for one night so that the stain / sealing coat can dry.
First we had friends lined up to sleep at, but that did not work out and so we decided to go into a hotel. The Hilton is just 3-4 miles away from where we live and so I checked out their rates. For a stay from Friday to Saturday with a AAA discount the night only costs $63 + tax.
Upon arriving the staff was very friendly. The first room they gave us had a defective fridge and so they gave us a different room. They also gave us breakfast vouchers for free for the inconvenience which we gladly accepted. This would have not been necessary, but it was awesome to experience the friendly staff and how they took care of us.
Both rooms were very clean and well equipped. I have been to several hotels and motels over the years, but this desk and the chair are worth to be used. The chair is ergonomically correct and overall the combination is really good. I am almost considering something like this for my home office which I need to setup as I do not have a real desk and just a cheap chair.
The room comes with a fridge, a microwave, and a flat screen TV (decent size). Many channels are available to choose from including some on Demand Movies (which we did not try). The bathroom has a granite countertop and is of a good size. When it is quite I can hear some noise in the distance (C-470), but you can really just hear it very far away. I had more noise in my old house (we sold it in December and live now in a more quiet neighborhood away from the big street). I can hear very little noise from other rooms. Overall it is very quiet which is a definite plus for me.
The breakfast was a) very decent in price ($10.95/all you can eat) and b) of good quality. I did not have to pay due to having a voucher (see above for details), but even if I would have to pay – I had to pay more in other hotels and got less food and less quality. I ordered a waffle and then some scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes. The food was not greasy at all and tasted really good.
The name “Hilton” carries some trust and it is a solid match for this hotel. If you need to stay in Highlands Ranch, definitely check out this hotel. If have the need again to stay local, this Hilton Garden Inn in Highlands Ranch definitely will make it onto the list.
