Governor Bill Ritter is giving up
This comes as a surprise move to pretty much everyone right now (at the time of this writing). 9News has just reported that Colorado Governor Bill Ritter will not run for re-election. Honestly, I personally think that he was overwhelmed by the job and just could not handle it. The budget crises made him look so unprepared and he could not get anything done. His announcements in early December of what he eventually wants to do to cut the budget shortfall seemed to be threatening local businesses – which would make things even worse. So, I am glad if the rumor comes really true and he will not run for re-election. I am just hoping he will not create too much damage to Colorado’s business environment on his way out.
