4th of July – Highlands Ranch Event Calendar
Almost unbelieveable, but 4th of July is almost here again. America celebrates Independence Day and the action is right here in Highlands Ranch again. Celebrate our nation’s birthday with your neighbors. Let the July 4th party begin with rides, games, live music, and finish the day with the annual Highlands Ranch Forth of July Fireworks presentation.
HRCA Independence Day 5K
Enjoy a run/walk challenge along some of the scenic trail system of Highlands Ranch. The 4th of July Run will offer something special every mile. Proceeds benefit Developmental Pathways.
Registration: 7:30 a.m.
Race Start Time: 8:30 a.m.
Beginning and End: Highlands Ranch Pkway
Cost: $35 ($25 if preregistered)
Awards: 9:30 a.m. at the Town Center stage
4th of July Parade - 9:00 a.m
This year’s July 4th Community Parade is honoring veterans from all military branches. If you are a veteran or are associated with a group of veterans, you are invited to participate in this year’s parade. The parade will start at 9 AM near the Highlands Ranch Town Center. Come early and find a nice spot to enjoy the Independence Day Parade.
Enjoy this special Day at the Highlands Ranch Town Center – the “Ground Zero” of the July 4th Celebration in Highlands Ranch.
Some of the attractions are Balloon Twisters, Face Painters, Vern’s Mini Train, Hayrack Rides, Games & Inflatables, and Live Music! The HRCA will be selling beverages like Beer, Mojitos, and much more. If you are hungry you can visit some of the restaurants in the town center or get something from the BBQ.

Independence Day Pet Adoption Fair
Looking for love? On the lawn in the Square from noon - 4:00 p.m. and check out the pet picks from your local shelters. It could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
Family Bike/Pet Parade
This patriotic parade is for children 2 - Grade 6. Parent must stay with child.
Start Time: 8.15 AM
Age groups – 2-3 years; 4 years-K; Grades 1-3; Grades 4-6
The parade route takes participants north on Blake, east onto Highlands Ranch Parkway and south into the RDT parking lot. The Family Bike and Pet Parade will disburse in the RTD parking lot. Families may then find a place to watch the Community Parade.
Fireworks Display
Fireworks Display - 9:30 p.m.
Launch Site: Directly across from Town Center, at the intersection of Highlands Ranch Parkway & Blake Dr.
Highlands Ranch Town Center, and Civic Green Park are great locations to watch the show.
